How To Not Make Money Online

You want the sad truth of how not to make money on line? Mention the word, "work." Yes, actually explain to people that they have to work their rear ends off if they want to make a living by working on line. Let them know that they won't make $1000 overnight. Explain to them that your e-book does not contain secret, esoteric messages that no one else knows. Unfortunately, in this day of the want-it-now mentality, people aren't attracted to things that actually cost them time and effort. They want a quick fix to their troubles. They are fascinated by shiny bobbles that promise them instant riches. They do not want to invest themselves in anything worthwhile. They want the bucks and they want them NOW.

It's really a shame, too. That kind of thinking is exactly why you find so many snake oil salesmen, scammers and schemers on line. Those types wouldn't even exist if their sad little businesses weren't being fed by naive, gullible people who believe they they can be rich overnight. It truly makes it difficult for us honest people who try to make their living working on the Internet. When something worthwhile comes along and we want to shout it's praises from the rooftops because we know that it has the potential to change someone's life in some way, it seems to fall on deaf ears, more often than not. Why? Because things that truly work take time and effort and the sheep following every Get-Rich-Quick scheme aren't listening. There is nothing out there that can be achieved without some sweat on your brow. Working on line is exactly like working off line in the respect that you need to throw some BAM (brains and motivation into whatever you're doing. You need to have passion and love for your work.

You cannot slap some banners on a web site and watch the money roll in. You won't find a continuous cash flow making it's way into your bank account for, at least, 6 months or more. Anything that says otherwise is nothing more than smoke and mirrors. There is good news, though. Working on line costs less than a brick-and-mortar business in almost every area. It doesn't cost you much to make a mistake. You simply find what works and throw out what doesn't. Working on line and making money from it can be a lot of fun. You do have the potential to make a great deal of money and eventually quit your day job. You can do things that may not have been possible before, like travel, own real estate, and live a life you've dreamed of. But, hear me: it does---take---work. There is just no way around it.

For the people searching for how to make a living on the Internet, don't fall for the quick fix. It doesn't exist. If you truly want to be successful on line, you can, but it will cost you. You need to work your Internet business as hard, if not harder, than any off line business. When you surf across a fancy looking landing page somewhere out there in Cyberspace that is offering you the moon and easy money for a $500 investment, run away, screaming. Help put them out of business by clicking away as fast as you can. Unfortunately, the truth is, they won't go away. As long as there are people who want the easy life with no work involved, these scammers will continue to rake in the dough and leave buyers disappointed and discouraged. Empty pockets and unfulfilled dreams.

Don't believe everything you read! But, if you see someone on line that is talking about something that you can make money at and that takes work, sit up and take notice. Give them your attention. There are marketers of integrity out there that really want to make a positive impact in people's lives, because they have discovered something that worked in their own. It may be exactly what you've been searching for.

Finally, if you're a marketer and an on line business person, be honest. Find products and services that you believe in. Use them yourself. That is where the passion comes from. Don't promote crap just to make a quick buck. Your honor is at stake. If you truly want to make a difference in someone's life, don't promote things that you know don't work or are shady. Take to heart the things that I'm telling you. You'll sleep much better at night knowing that you didn't take advantage of someone that day. Believe in yourself and believe that there are people combing the Internet for something that they can have for themselves; something that will bring freedom to their lives. If you have that thing that they are searching for, they will find you and you're going to put a smile on someone's face. It's all worth it.

You may never rake in the kind of money that the scammers do, but who cares? At least you'll have piece of mind and an honestly-made dollar in your pocket.
