Are There Reliable Ways to Make Money Online?

If you have been on the internet recently -- even just to access your email account, you have probably seen a good number of advertisements for ways to make money online.

Are they for real?

There are so many different ways to make money online that it's actually difficult to lay them all out in descriptions. As an internet marketer, I have tried a number of methods - some work better than others.

The simplest way to make cash is to sell on Ebay.com. There are techniques to doing this, but they are not difficult to learn, it's fast and you can learn about it right from the eBay site.

If you're like me, you might be interested in a more long-term, continual income source. The best way that I know of to achieve a long-term income online is with affiliate marketing. The basic concept of affiliate marketing is: Sell products for others for a percentage commission of the sales.

Sounds simple, right?

Basically it is simple, but requires more education in the tools involved. More specifically - You can use affiliate marketing as a way to make money online by placing ads for other companies on your own website, with Pay-Per-Click advertising, email marketing, classified ads, etc., etc. So, in order to do this, you need to have at least some knowledge of these techniques and tools. I can safely say that the more you know about these tools the more money you will make.

So, an education in affiliate marketing (also known as internet marketing) is key.

If you're willing to take the time to learn, suffer through at least a month of waiting for the income to flow in and work your tushy off for a while, the payoff is worth the wait - and the hard work.

You'll see a gradually increasing income over time, and if you keep at it, maintaining your sites, ads, etc., you can eventually make the kind of income where your biggest problem is what to do with all the money!

Just like anything else, affiliate marketing gets easier and simpler over time, and also takes less of your time once you're all grooved in.

There are a number of other ways to make money online, some of them claim "overnight riches" and such nonsense. I hope that you take this to heart - the "overnight" and "You don't have to do anything" methods are not valid.

But there are ways to make money online that are reliable, valid and work consistently - when and if done correctly. If it weren't possible, then how is it that there are thousands of people doing it?
